HISTORY: After his world was destroyed, Aether alongside his sister Lumine were sent off to travel the universe on a spaceship. They visited many different planets together, then one day ended up on Teyvat, with Lumine waking up before her brother and finding a new home in a nation called Khaenri'ah. When the Cataclysm threatened the nation, Lumine chose to run to her brother, wake him up and flee Teyvat, but the two of them were stopped by an unknown god, their powers were sealed and they were separated.
Aether woke up 500 years later, when the world changed and met Paimon, a strange, fairy-like being, who offered to become his guide in Teyvat as Aether searches for his sister.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Aether appears as a friendly and helpful young man. He's always up for any task and never says no to a challenge. Despite not talking too much (often leaving the talk to Paimon), he's soft-spoken most of the time and isn't afraid to speak his mind either. He's unafraid of gods or authorities, but will address those who earned it with respect. Aether is also often noted to be "handsome", "radiant" and "good-looking". Many people take note of his golden hair.
Despite the overall friendliness, one could notice that Aether rarely speaks of his origins, his worries or anything too personal. He can also get wary of someone the moment he notices anything suspicious or out of place about them, but usually chooses to observe instead of acting out on his suspicions.

ABILITIES
RESONATING WITH ELEMENTS: The traveler can resonate with elements when touching one of the statues of the Seven. Currently there are six elements Aether can control: Anemo (wind), Geo (earth), Electro (thunder), Dendro (plant), Hydro (water) and Pyro (fire). Each element allows the traveler to perform an attack enhanced with the element of choice, so for example: a gust of wind with Anemo; creating a small boulder with Geo; striking with water (gun) with Hydro.
PURIFICATION: Aether is shown to have an ability to purify corruption caused by the Abyss with his close presence alone. It is currently suspected that rather than purifying anything, he actually can absorb abyssal energy into his body. He also possesses high resistance to abyssal corruption.
ORIGINAL POWER: Before coming to Teyvat, Aether and his sister could travel to different worlds freely via a spaceship (not really a power lol) and possessed wings that allowed them to fly. It is possible they had more powers than that, but they were stripped of all of them by the unknown god. Aether states that he is slowly regaining his powers but since they are mostly unknown, they will not be used by him here.
