Recently a friend has appeared in this world. He is one of the Nameless. I am unaware if he has ever journeyed alone before. However, I imagine that he will be missing his dearest companions back on the Express.

[It's easy to trust Aether with this because he knows Aether is a certified Good Dude who also likes to Travel.]

It is my earnest request that you offer your hand out to him in friendship as you have to me.

As they say "a friend of a friend is my friend as well". I will happily accept your request.

Being alone isn't good for anyone and I'm also curious what kind of person is your friend.

[Definitely something happened. There's no question about it.

Aether was about to ask for the location, before seeing that he got the info. Then, he heads to the meeting spot and waves at Vash.]

[He may or may not be giving Vash a good look. He wants to know what happened!]

[ vash wouldn't look especially different than any other times aether has seen him be, probably ... just on this side of frazzled and ungainly, but that is his normal state of things - but the bright wave he gives aether when he spots the other approaching is a little bit more fast tempo-ed than usual. ]

Oh! You found it! Sorry, I sent that through a bit late, so I was actually going to maybe walk down and see if I could see you, and then I was thinking what if we just get our lines crossed, and then we'll never get to eat that breakfast? So -

[ inside is cute and cosy, with lots of cute animal shaped cookies out on the tray on display as well as other baked goods ... this early in the morning not too many people are in here yet either, which makes it nice and relaxing hopefully! ]

[Vash may not look much different than usually, but the way he talks makes Aether even more suspicious. He follows his companion into the bakery and gives the various cookies and other baked goods a curious look.]

We could get some of the cookies for later. And... ah, these are the ones you mentioned, right?

That's a great idea! [ a nice midday snack for later, probably, unless they're pulled into some wild cat-chasing trip around town again ... not to mention all the rebuilding efforts going on generally. ]

Yes, those! They're really good, you really need to try it!!

[ there are some savoury things on the menu as well to counter all the sugar rush, and the servers will soon shoo them onto a table to sit down. vash fiddles with the edge of the menu passed onto both of them, shifting his weight on the chair. ]

[Even if they're pulled into something, they can still enjoy the little treat once they're done with everything. A small reward for a hard day at work!

Aether sits down when the servers direct them to the tables and takes the menu with a smile, then glances at Vash. The way the other acts is highly suspicious and since no topic comes Aether decides to just go for it and ask.]

I can see that there's something bothering you... [Don't even try hiding behind the menu!] Vash, you know that you can tell me anything, right? I'll always hear you out and I won't judge, no matter what it is. Promise.
